The University of New Mexico College of Pharmacy invited Robert Scales PhD to conduct a 3-hour interactive Motivational Interviewing (MI) training workshop (November 14th, 2025) for students on clinical rotations.
Pharmacists remain the most accessible healthcare professional in the US and play an important role in chronic disease management. Productive patient conversations using MI may promote medication adherence, smoking cessation, resolve immunization hesitancy and support lifestyle change for weight management.
